As you say, the pictures raise lots of questions but at least at the time of the photos the equipment had not be abandoned or scraped.
From what I remember, in the pictures of #3 arriving at the JBI/PTOI factory the kilns were not wrapped, and it seems unlikely they would be protected now if considered worthless, all of which gives me hope that a plan continues to play out albeit slowly.
