Here's my take for what it's worth. Some broker, mm, call them what you like, has a couple hundred million shares and is waiting for a catalyst to jump the price a few ticks. Been waiting a while and nothing has happened. Mike comes along and says progress is good but it's going to be another couple months before anything can be verified, so, the broker says I'll just dump a bunch of my shares, scare everyone, make some $$$ elsewhere and buy back in later. Meanwhile he'll play up the mention of the RS (which btw works fine if you go from a penny to a dollar on a 100 to 1 split) Now everyone panics, the price crashes, everyone cries scam, I buy and laugh all the way to Hawaii!
