I have been a part of agriculture for 43 years. I am crop consultant, hemp is not like corn, wheat, rye. A little like soybeans, but more like mustard the way it grows and matures. There would have to be numerous moisture occurrences to bring mold on with warm temps not cool temps. What does insects in the stem from winter do with this crop? We have just went thru summer.
As you know, the date they say a crop will mature is approximate, not dead on date. Cool weather with moisture will delay maturity as hot and dry conditions will make crop mature early.
I was reading last night that harvest in the Alberta area this year is late because favorable growing conditions, which is good for yields.
