Here's the quote:
device is plugged in via HDMI to a 4K TCL screen. (FYI - I do not recommend the TCL to anyone)
Display setting on the device is set to 4K. TV display says 3840x2160. UltraFlix app downloaded from playstore. I was instructed to download MX player. I did. While playing a video on UltraFlix if I go to the MX player settings and click tools then click properties, it tells me the name of the clip and file size is 1920x1080. I do not doubt that the clips are in 4K in UltraFlix, but the MX player is playing back (or thinks it's playing back) 1920x1080.
MX player is the default app but I prefer the preinstalled 4K playback app or vlc. I will see if there's a way to set the playback to one of those apps.
