The EPA and Ozone.
After reading "The EPA's Latest Threat to Economic Growth" in August, I've been gathering info in an attempt to assess if the ozone issue might be a showstopper for AS's market acceptance and long term viability.

Some observations:

1.Pressure from the left
As you can see from the following articles, the environmentalist left wants stronger ozone standards which potentially makes approval of a device that generates ozone a politically sensitive issue.

2.Obama and his EPA will be ultra-careful about enabling a capitalist before they understand potential environmental impacts.
The EPA is really concerned about ozone, wants stricter standards, and must propose a new O3 rule by Dec. 1, 2014.

In their recent (8/29/2014) Policy Assessment, they "call into question the adequacy of the public health protection provided by the current standard." http://www.epa.gov/ttn/naaqs/standards/ozone/data/20140829pa.pdf

In 2011, Obama blocked stricter ozone standards, but he was also quoted as saying he wouldn't "roll back…rules" in order to help the economy grow.

3.AS scrubbers return the room to normal O3 levels.
The Room Normalization phase of the process (as described in the brochure) "convert the O3 in the room back into ambient air." The associated graphic gives the impression that the room returns to at least the same O3 level it was before the process. If we could show that AS actually lowers the typical O3 levels, that would be even better, but I doubt we could ever make that claim.

Conclusions:
IMO, the EPA won't approve AS for use until after 1) they propose their new O3 rule by Dec 1st., and 2) we can prove that the AS system normalizes the room to low enough O3 levels where hospital staff and patients are safe.
