I can tell you how this can be a cost effective experiment. Let's say Rambo has 900k shares for round numbers sake. He begins actively moving a block of 100 shares .10 cents after hours for a week. In 10 days of trading, it cost him a premium of 100 bucks. The first time a larger volume trader sees after hours tweets about DARA being up 12% after hours, and buys a block that moves the stock north a total of .05 cents, he makes about 45 grand. The 100 dollars in premium trading is nothing more then the cost of doing business, not to mention that at these levels, a .10 cent premium is still buying down his average at the micro level.
