JBAIN, you are absolutely correct.

Market size is way too small.
For example, the amount of the people dying DAILY from malaria is HUGE when compared with Ebola.
Hey, all you need is to get "nasty" mosquito bite (how do you control that one, eh?).

Government can block, God willing, people from areas with Ebola infection to travel to N.American shores, although government CAN'T stop mosquitos
Sadly, the government is NOT willing to use common sense.

I absolutely agree with you that it's NOT the role of Peregrine to jump on this Ebola situation and dilute their financial resources. That said, many "higher ups" in government, FDA, you name it, ARE aware what bavituximab is all about and one day (IMHO) the blockade will be removed.

Note:
Less people will die in Africa if all damn stupid Kalashnikov guns will be taken out of their hands.
That will not happen either. Just wonder how many people die under those bullets compared with Ebola. None of us will hear about that.
