I have to say, the collapse in oil prices took me by surprise. I read in the WSJ the other day that it's actually more expensive to frack in the Bakken shale than the Permian. That was news to me.

The Saudis are playing hard-ball in that they would rather maintain market share than support prices. The current energy market can't last. Oil will rebound, but no way of knowing when.
