EWAN Launches Global IPtv Service Today at ``IPTV & Beyond'' Expo in San Diego, CA

SANTA ANA, Calif., Apr 19, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- eWAN1, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EWAN) announced that it is launching its Global Internet television (IPtv) service today in front of the entire sponsorship and attendee base of the "IPTV & Beyond" Expo being held today and Thursday at the Marriott Del Mar, San Diego, CA. EWAN, a "Panel Sponsor" of the event, is joining other world leading telecommunications and technology companies to present at the Expo, including Motorola (NYSE:MOT), Alcatel (NYSE:ALA), Bell Canada, Siemens (NYSE:SI), Tut Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:TUTS) and a host of others.
EWAN will debut its first-to-market multi-language Global IPtv network by demonstrating and deploying its multiple channels of "On Demand" content delivered to subscribers' televisions through DSL or any other broadband Internet connection. The Company is initially offering consumers 75 channels of high definition clarity "On Demand" broadcast content through their televisions. Through EWAN's subsidiaries, Clearwave Broadcasting and Direct Connect, Inc., the Company shortly thereafter offers subscribers up to an additional 100 channels of traditional broadcast content and enables them to select only those channels and networks of their choice and nothing more.

Scott Kettle, EWAN's President, commented, "This launch fundamentally changes the nature of EWAN and its impact on the IPtv universe. In a very short period of time, we have undergone a transformation from a designer of best-of-breed set-top boxes and provider of bandwidth to being a significant competitor in providing traditional broadcast content over Internet Protocol. I would be shocked if any company with significant investments in IPtv has the amount of content we have straight out of the gate." He continued, "We are extremely excited to have launched our service and look forward to concentrate our energies to subscriber acquisition and distributing our bundled service in the Global market."

EWAN's wireless "Triple Play" Digital Media Center, which gives subscribers the ability to deliver high definition programming over "non-HDTV" televisions, comes pre-bundled with a monthly subscription for the channels of content, which consumers can order online and from local retail channels. EWAN is forecasting that approximately 250,000 set-top box units will be sold worldwide in the first year of distribution.

About eWan1, Inc.

EWAN (http://www.eWAN1.com), EWAN's wireless "Triple Play" Digital Media Center connects directly to a television to enable viewing of broadcast and cable television (IPtv), enables video-on-demand of movies and documentaries, features traditional Internet access, telephone service (VOIP) and data and video capability including video conferencing. The boxes' new IPtv cache will also feature music channels that will play music and the corresponding video if it is available, as well as provide "time shifted" services such as the ability to record one program while watching another, similar to the offering of TiVo (NASDAQ:TIVO). The set-top box is pre-bundled with a monthly subscription to EWAN's new Global Internet Television service, which is scheduled to launch on April 19th, and will enable subscribers able to access their local TV stations, plus EWAN's initial 75 channels of "Ala Carte" traditional broadcast television and content delivered in 36 major languages, anywhere on the planet. EWAN believes it is the first company with the ability to deliver Internet TV with the clarity of high definition to its subscribers' TV sets. EWAN's wholly owned subsidiary, Direct Connect, will provide traditional broadcast television, allowing subscribers to pick and choose only those channels they are willing to pay for.
