U.S. Geothermal Announces Acquisition of Earth Power Resources

The assets acquired from EPR include geothermal leases covering 26,017 acres in Nevada representing three projects, as well as EPR's complete geothermal resource database of new project opportunities located throughout the western United States.

My goodness, HTM is buying more geothermal development projects in the U.S. while everybody else but some ignorant foreigners is going elsewhere.

With some exceptions and notable contradictions such as few geothermal companies being American, it is a bit odd that Lopez in the Philippines and Mighty River, an odd government corporation in New Zealand, have been investing heavily in the U.S. while Americans are mostly uninterested. Warren Buffett is also buying big but everybody knows his brain is addled with age.

Without knowing anything about what HTM bought and at what price and lots more, I like very much that HTM is turning into a conventional geothermal power company.
