Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. Prepares to Launch "Smart" Shoe Product
DRAPER, Utah
, Oct. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: FLXT) today announced that the company, in conjunction with Bend Tech LLC, will be pre-launching its shoe insole system during November 2014. Bend Tech plans on self-launching the product as well as partnering with larger companies already involved in the athletic shoe industry for distribution.
The system will provide wireless, real-time feedback on a number of performance metrics, including form, balance, power and speed, to help optimize training. An insert pad utilizing Flexpoint's sensor technology features multiple sensors located within the shoe. The pad can be manufactured into different sizes, which can fit within existing shoes or can be manufactured, sized and customized for specific shoes. The sensor is constructed as a single layer so the sensors are not damaged or degraded by dust, dirt or other particulates. Moisture and immersion in mud, water, sweat and other chemicals also do not affect the sensors' performance.
Bend Tech has created a commercial for the product, which utilizes a patented series of sensors, giving consumers real-time feedback in a high tech training shoe. During the next 30 days, the company will launch an associated website with product details, begin marketing the product and accepting pre-orders.
Full production and deliveries for the product are anticipated during mid Q1 2015.
