THE COMPANY ACCOUNTING MANAGER Titan Medical Inc., Titan, was formed in July, 2008. Titan is listed on the TSX, TMD, and is developing a Robotic surgical platform called SPORTTM, Single Port Orifice Robotic Technology. Titan is now transitioning from the development to the commercialization stage over the next 18 months. As we continue to move forward, we require an Accounting Manager who can grow along with Titan. This is very much a growth and career opportunity for the right person. JOB DESCRIPTION The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day accounting and assist in building the team required to support the expected rapid growth of Titan. This individual will be expected to ensure efficient and accurate completion of period end financial statements, on a timely basis, to facilitate reporting to the management team, Audit committee and Board of directors and publishing our quarterly reports on www.sedar.com. - prepare/review and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements - prepare financial forecasts based on an evolving model and changing sales forecast. - responsible for quarter end and annual audit preparation and working with external auditors - prepare other statutory reports as required by management. - work with CFO to develop appropriate information/performance requirements from our outsourced manufacturer - work with CFO to develop appropriate periodic manufacturing performance reports for Senior Management - build the team to support A/P and A/R, costing, budgeting and general accounting functions. - work with the CFO to identify and source appropriate IP software and hardware in support of a rapidly growing international Company
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION - Professional Accounting Designation (CPA/CGA/CMA/CA) - minimum 5 years public company experience in a finance role - Medical device experience would be a big asset along with manufacturing/distribution - must be a "hands-on" team player - capable of goal setting and achieving same - strong PC skills including Microsoft Office and Quick Books. - good understanding of IFRS - good understanding of foreign currency transactions - primarily U.S. - experience with transfer pricing an asset. - high level of integrity and strong sense of personal ownership and accountability. - ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment - works well under pressure. - possess strong analytical and problem solving skills.
