There's no significant gold in that area.

There was no Mineral Resource Data System record with the USGS at the coordinates Capital Finance listed for the Doc Watson Project. Not sure what that means.

I was able to locate the MRDS records for mines within a few miles of those coordinates and the USGS lists all of the deposits in the area as small and insignificant. You can verify this by visiting the USGS mine registration pages linked below and looking under the heading "Economic Information".
