I think that Apollo's comments and mine may create a significant piece of the picture. You have hedgefunds from May 23 selling now for tax relief. Some may likely repurchase right before earnings...around Nov 7th to try and get in before November 12th. That is assuming that Dara waits until Nov 12. Their IR team used "Early November" as their timeline in a recent interview. Dara may try to get earnings out ASAP because the Nasdaq is going to be harassing them for PPS below 1.00. But barring that, I would expect earnings Nov 12.

This also explains why we would see 250k shares go at market as opposed to limit. Tax relief, so they take what they can get.
