I've seen this phenomenon happen more times than I can count. An OTC stock has a massive upward move (such as GRCU had from low trip zeros to .049), and then spends many months after that drifting downward, but finds a new price support significantly higher than the original base. Then the focus is on the drop from the peak, rather than the support at the higher and stronger base.

Perhaps Warren Buffet said it best, when he stated that "The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient."

I believe that holding through this painful consolidation period will be well worth the wait. As always, simply my opinion.
