In their example they're breaking the load into separate sections. That's exactly the way they did it in Burj Khalifa. Obviously it works...

He also mentions that it would be very difficult to do it in one shot. The pressure required would be enormous.
Perhaps DTC had taken the single shot approach in his guesstimate.

This provides for a dignified exit strategy. I hope he takes it...


The real jem that you found was pumping water out of a mine that could be up to a mile deep. I'd probably have never thought of this.

Pumping water all the way up from the bottom of a mine is more than a match for our puny 2,250 ft tower. Plus, I'm sure the volume of water is comparable as well. There is a lot of water underground.

You may not post often but I'd take quality over quantity any day.
