Went to Best Buy in Baltimore, didn't have it stock, but it was available at to pick up at the warehouse. I knew it was a risk as I shouldn't spend around $1500 (tax included) for a product without seeing one. However I must say, after setting it up, I don't regret it at all.
A few tidbits. Currently at Best Buy the best 4kTV is a quadcore processor this TV has a 6 core processor, it is a beast! The vivid settings on this TV are amazing! I play PS4 FIFA-15 and the PS4 menus look amazing, the gaming experience is the best I've had ever! Almost no input lag, vibrant colors, the up sampling is awesome. I also just watched a movie, and I could tell how poorly directed it was, this TV is so sharp I could tell when the cinematographer had his camera in focus and out of focus. You can easily tell all the artifacts of the movie. Movie was "Defiance".
I am personally an image scientist and I can tell you that this TV is 100% worth the best in show of the consumer electronics show back in January. This TV beats blows the competition away! I can't even believe I got this TV for this price! Vizio really, REALLY set the bar very high here. The 60Hz 4k port is the recommended port for any gaming. If you are into gaming, this is the TV that brings the ultimate BANG for the buck.
I rarely write reviews, but this purchase really blew my mind away. I can't believe I bought this and it looks so amazing! Better than anything in the store, including the Magnolia center. This is the next best thing, it really isn't any of those curved TVs. The color gamut is amazing, and the contrast radio with those 64 back light zones is pretty neat.
I hope Best Buy and Vizio gets to produce these babies to be able to have them in every store, as this will be the best seller this holiday season for sure!
Bottom line, I am blown away by this TV. FIFA-15 has never looked so awesome. The LED back lightning zone control is flawless, and the insane refresh rates make this TV the best there is. period. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about the TV... easy to assemble, easy to setup, light weight, Totally the best 55" TV you will get, I wish you guys really listen as this is THE Absolute best 55" TV on the market!
The only cons I had was there was a piece of clear plastic to protect the sides of the TV, the front plastic came off easily, the TOP, Sides, and bottom plastic which is just one big piece of protective plastic took a little bit of effort to get it all out. that was the only drawback so far.
