There are many examples of extreme rewarding of employees tied to performance. Dell computers, and I believe, Dominoes way back in the early growth days. And wasn't there something like that for managers at Starbucks too? But we will never know how many had incentive programs written and the goals weren't reached. So I suspect it is more common than we are ever able to know. Currently, SLTD employees and managers can also buy shares on the OTC market just like us, so they could be double winners. More power to them.
