Understanding is the key. It is not THEDIRECTORY.COM taking on a GOOGLE. It is a niche offering many different options to the small business owner that the larger companies don't. Establishing each new subscriber to any one of the 2000 plus domains that SEEK owns gets the local guy a fantastic deal. The expansion is going to take time. The growth in traffic continues, and that is because there are additional businesses becoming subscribers to the vertical network. More people are searching in the SEEK domains and driving up more traffic. This will allow for them to also demand higher advertising prices across all the sites.
The branding campaign is to draw in new small business owners to subscribe to the vertical network, and make the consumer aware that there is a new local business search engine for their local business needs.
