Susie - I just read through stockcharts tutorial on MACD - you're right, it's confusing. I have been swamped lately, but as soon as my schedule clears up a bit, I'm going to develop a simple way to explain both the MACD and the MACD/histogram relationship - give me a week or so, and I'll post it.

In the interim, check out SA's tutorial over on StockHideout. Excellent!
