Chemically - adding 'new' ligands to a PEG core should be similar from 'Cide type to 'Cide type. Once the generalized conditions are worked out for one type (Flucide for example), chances are that the SOPs developed will only require very minor tweaking to work for Ebolacide, or Denguecide, or Herpescide.

But they gotta get over that first hump first and get that SOP figured out.
