I grew up in a mostly black neighborhood and very poor.
I was one of three white kids in my homeroom class, we one Asian; the rest were blacks.
I lived through two black riots; one right on my street.
I ran with blacks and whites, I still have many friends of differing races.
I have Blacks, Latins and Asians in my family.
Disagree if you want, bring up all of the bullchitt reports you want; I know this. We have worked so hard to create equal rights that what we have now are special rights!
About work: Let me tell you what many of my blacks have told me, most of the unemployed blacks are not trying to get jobs, just as many whites are not looking either.
We may have the jobs, but the pay sucks, the hours are short, and people are getting used to not working; people simply are not looking for work. I know three employers having trouble hiring people, and the unemployment rate here is 14% or higher.
"In the end, we either live together or die apart."
Leave people to their own and they will naturally segregate themselves; people like living amongst their own. Don't believe me? How do explain all of the China Towns, German Districts, Little Russia's...
