Your question isn't entertaining if it was meant to be a joke, and it's irrelevant if it was meant to be taken seriously. But, if you were serious, I will certainly entertain the question.

That's like asking how Tesla can compete with Toyota (Prius), Nissan (Volt), BMW (i3), etc...or like someone in 2002 asking how Netflix can compete with Blockbuster. Your argument is that Gatorade's existing customer base, endorsers, and distribution network will keep anyone from dethroning them. That's what everyone thought about Blackberry 10 years ago (largest customer base and distribution network in mobile phones), and they are now a shell of the company they once were because they failed to innovate. Gatorade is the same exact product today that it was 20 years ago.

A Gatorade is simple sugar and a tiny amount of potassium (a small banana has 200% more potassium than a 32 oz gatorade). 20 years ago, there was no alternative to water & gatorade for an athelete. Today, the game has changed, and so has the consumer. Consumers are now better informed and have many more product choices to spend their money on.

Since MusclePharm's consumer base tends to be a bit more picky/in tune with what they are putting into their body (as I believe is the current TREND, not a fad), they choose products that have superior nutritional content. Period.

The answer to your question can be summed up with a picture. This is why MusclePharm will have success in "taking on gatorade/powerade":
