I see a company working steadily toward a clear objective: proving that viricides work in humans and being ready with manufacturing when that proof is made.

I see no "plethora of things" plaguing this company. I see that something difficult and novel is being done, that problems arise, and that the problems are overcome.

I don't see straight line predictable progress but I've been through enough massive and complex software development processes to know better than to have any such expectation.

Something that looks simple to do to an observer positioned at a great distance from the actual work, who knows nothing about what actually has to be done, can turn out to be maddeningly filled with unexpected devils that live in the details.

And, just because something seemed from a distance to be a small detail it doesn't mean that an issue that shows up in that detail will be quick and simple to deal with.

I recall an issue involving the difference between zero and null, a tiny thing, right? But it required re-engineering a significant part of a complex database engine. No, we didn't ship on time. But when we did ship, it was right.
