You said "gapped down". A gap is a technical term indicating that the price opened or closed completely above or below the previous candle (including the wick), thus leaving a "gap".

Yes, the price went down, but it went down from above the previous close to below. That is a downward movement, but not technically a "gap". That's all I was saying.
