YOU Been in, and SERVED this country or another somewhere in the world???

I have family (father, cousins, etc.), friends, sons/daughters of friends that have and do serve.

Not sure I follow your comments (God help you, old enough to even remember being drafted, etc.). Any reason why you cannot discuss a topic in a normal manner? What is unbelievable?

So, I ask you what should a high school graduate be paid who has no skills but decides to serve his country? Should they make $30-35K tax effected with virtually no expenses? These kids are volunteers... And they must be enlisting because they believe this is their best opportunity otherwise they would do something else (learn a trade, get a college education, etc.).

My option was to go to college, study hard get a couple degrees, earn a few credentials and work hard for everything I have today. I missed the draft simple because I was a decade removed from it. However, what does the draft have to do with today's volunteers?
