I asked my employer if I could get paid triple my salary for

- missing every deadline I ever stated I'd make in the performance of my duties
- not generating a single penny of revenue for my company
- obtaining publicity for the company (but I had to pay for it out of company coffers - nothing's free, after all)
- attending conferences, making presentations, traveling on the company's dime
- diluting the company stock on a consistent basis

He turned me down. He told me to, "get back to work, it's a wonder I haven't fired you for poor performance and a slew of other reasons." What nerve!
