Took me awhile to find this article that I recalled reading a couple years ago.

I don't mind owning stock in any company that treats employees fairly and equitably. After all, as the article states, happy employees make for a happy company and hopefully translates into profits. Nothing wrong with sharing those profits with the people who make it happen.

This article goes on to discuss why, in general, unions are good for economy as a whole. As the owner of an airline stock, I believe that the more disposable income in the pockets of workers, the more they will spend on travel. That's good for this sector and others as well.

Collective bargaining agreements, in fact, provide a certain amount of stability for the employees and therefore the company. Just my opinion. I don't mind that the employees of AAL are receiving fruits of their labor and yes, I know several employees of AAL including pilots, flight attendants, ramp personnel, and A&P technicians.
