As much as you would like us to believe that the State of Texas and TABC updates their records daily, that in fact is not true (sort of). I am sure the few folks they have working in the TABC IT division try and update applications daily, but ("But & If" the biggest words in the English language) I would bet my next six paydays that they don't.

I have operated several businesses right here in Austin, TX and on several State of Texas Licensing websites still have my businesses as active, one I closed down over ten years ago, another I have sold.

See the disclaimer below. The State leans heavy on these (disclaimers) when you try and get something updated. If you call they will tell you they make every attempt to update on a daily basis. But, then you get the " If & But Statements" something like BUT because of cutbacks we are running behind X amount of weeks processing applications. IF you would like to check back we will be happy to look and see IF the file has been updated.

More importantly what they are updating today might be information received from two or three weeks/months ago. But they are updating daily, nothing says it is an application that has come in that day, week, or month.

I have no doubt when an application hits, it sits in the mail room, then once opened it is date stamped and waiting to be assigned a processor. Once assigned it will sit in the stack with all of the other applications.

With summer processors take vacation, there have been several long weekends and holidays, etc. etc. Who knows how far they are behind, or where the delays are. Processing could be done and the application is approved and it could be sitting in the box of a person that has to input it into the system.

So, again it is very possible (and would not be out of the ordinary here in Texas) that all the necessary paperwork is in and approved and the website has not been updated. My best example is my current license that I have for my business through the state of Texas, I had a hard copy in my hand six weeks before it was updated in the State of Texas website.

I know this all sounds like excuses but it is the reality of doing business here in Texas.

TEMN is a start-up business going through the normal growing pains. I am excited about it's/our future and IMO with time all of this will be worked out. I understand mistakes will be made along the way and it appears to me that company makes every effort to correct them. Go TEMN GO!!!
