i think there is significant cash flow to saudi arabia, for their oil. those sheiks didn't make their money from the collection plate of their religious meetings. but it is for a commodity, so that is not direct aid. we pay trillions for regional defense and their security. this weaning them off of that is painful for them. so we aren't. pity. and sand doesn't burn, like california vegetation does. if they want our mercenary security, let them pay for it with their incredible oil receipts.
