JetBlue had an emergency landing this morning in LA. The company PR is that the #2 (right) engine "blew." Not sure exactly what that means. Did it flame out? The headline reads, "Engine Exploded." Of course the engine did not explode as it is seen completely intact in the photos.

The passenger cabin filled with smoke. I'm not familiar with the ins and outs of the A320 or its variants but how does an engine failure fill the cabin with smoke? Perhaps somebody more familiar can explain.

Perhaps this is why our AA is down today. Not sure.
