I believe we should have Iran openly onside in the fight against ISIS. Really, we have them as we all know they are fightling ISIS in Iraq ..

Iranian general played key role in brokering Iraq cease-fire

we just, i believe because of political shit, don't/can't/is crazy say we are working with them against ISIS, which i believe is wrong ..

LOL, i'm not going to do a Cruz against you as he ridiculously and abjectly did against Obama ..

Sen. Ted Cruz Reacts to President Obama's ISIS Speech on the Kelly File
.. roughly a third down .. http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=106305226

as that would be as stupid of me as Cruz's was against Obama's .. for mine, you and Obama basically are
right in what you say .. just one thing .. sorry, but where in the world did you get the Abbott part of this ..

"I don't know of anyone else who would go in with us, unless it would be France .. ;)
.. Abbot won't go.. Canada won't go .. don't get me wrong everyone is helping somehow
"

from? .. can't figure that as i believe Abbott would be as sycophantic to Obama as Howard was to Bush .. no, i'm not making any equivalence at all between Bush and Obama as there isn't any, just between Abbott and Howard, as there is much .. lol, i thank Spaghetti Munster that Obama is not Bush, and that Obama is president rather than Mr. McCain .. oh yeah, as i alluded to here ..

Edit: Mucho macho Abbott has pounced on foreign problems.

Abbott, i believe would go anywhere in support of Obama .. in support of the USA, in fact .. i could be wrong, but was really surprised to see you say that, so much so i wonder where you got it from .. just because i can't recall ever seeing it said before .. :) .. ok, over that surprise now, a little reconnoiter led me to this one ..

Independent MP Andrew Wilkie castigates Labor's uncritical support for the government on Iraq,
saying Bill Shorten appears scared stiff of voicing any differences on national security.

Prime Minister Tony Abbott has left open the possibility that Australia's attacks on Islamic State militants could spread across the Iraq border into the terror group's heartland in Syria.

The US, which is leading the Middle East mission, has committed to strikes against Islamic State in Syria, but Mr Abbott indicated on Tuesday that Australia will wait for the resolution of legal uncertainties before taking such action.

"No I'm not ruling out some action in Syria but it is not part of the government's current intentions," he told reporters in Arnhem Land .. http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/prime-minister-tony-abbott-directs-iraqi-deployment-from-indigenous-community-in-arnhem-land-20140915-10haqu.html.

He said Australia does not have international permission to operate inside Syria, which the prime minister described as "essentially ungoverned space with a regime that we don't recognise".

The possibility of Australian intervention in Syria constitutes a dramatic turnaround from Mr Abbott, who in the days before his election as Prime Minister, said Australia should not get ideas "above our station .. http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/federal-election-2013/tony-abbott-urges-caution-over-syria-intervention-20130902-2t16f.html%20target="; when it came to foreign policy in the Middle East.

"I don't think we should be getting above ourselves here. We are a significant middle power but no more," Mr Abbott said in September last year.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has since told Fairfax Media that Australia has found a "new station" .. http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-news/bishop-warns-putin-of-uranium-export-ban-20140808-3de4j.html .. following its leadership in response to the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine, which killed 298 people, including 38 Australian citizens and residents .. http://www.smh.com.au/national/remains-of-more-mh17-victims-arrive-in-australia-20140911-10fmfj.html.

[.. a new station? .. what the stuff does that mean? ..

Mr Abbott will fly to New York late next week .. http://www.smh.com.au/breaking-news-national/abbott-defends-skipping-un-climate-meeting-20140916-3ft5x.html .. to attend UN security talks focussed on dealing with Islamic State, also known as ISIL.

Overnight, 30 countries attending a summit in Paris agreed .. http://www.smh.com.au/world/international-conference-pledges-support-for-iraq-20140915-10hdk9.html .. to provide military "by any means necessary" to help Baghdad combat Islamic State militants.

The Prime Minister said UN authorisation for military action in Iraq is not "strictly necessary" because "anything that happens in Iraq will be done with the full support of the Iraqi government".

"To operate in Iraq with the support, the consent, the approval, the welcome of the Iraqi government is perfectly, perfectly legal under international law," he told the ABC .. http://mpegmedia.abc.net.au/rn/podcast/2014/09/bst_20140916_0819.mp3.

President Obama has committed the United States to strikes in the Islamic State stronghold of Syria in addition to Iraq but Mr Abbott indicated Australia's involvement would require international legal hurdles be cleared.

Asked if the upcoming Security Council meeting might provide international authority for military strikes in Syria, Mr Abbott said "I'll be there and let's see how things unfold".

Meanwhile Mr Abbott says Australia has been given "very strong guarantees" that weapons delivered to the Kurds will "only be used by the Peshmerga," following Fairfax Media's report that the proscribed terror group the PKK is working directly with the Peshmergas .. http://www.smh.com.au/world/is-australia-arming-terrorist-pkk-fighters-20140915-10h8cc.html.

A contingent of the 600-strong Australian military team has left for the United Arab Emirates, where they will be based until they are authorised to begin air strikes on Islamic State militants rampaging across Iraq.

Mr Abbott said on Tuesday the mission would cost an estimated $250 million for every six months the military team is stationed in the region and said MPs would have an opportunity to debate Australia's role during the upcoming parliamentary sitting weeks.

.. lol, sorry for the mini rant, just that comment that "Abbott won't go" caught me way off-guard .. maybe some more sleep will help .. :)
