the problem with it turning out to be the 2nd method IMO

is that most of the people that bought in to "get the divi" bought under the assumption that one needed to own before the announcement was made blah blah (this is my assumption based on observation)

if one does not and you will have time to buy after

THEN WHY would anyone hold (or push other people to hold)
buy sell average down short do whatever!!
and then possible dilution (if that is really what this is/was) doesn't matter either right?
