In case you failed to read what was written in the news announcement.

"Financial terms were not disclosed."

www.businesswire.com/news/home/20140915005831/en/NanoTech%E2%80%99s-UltraFlix%E2%84%A2-4K-Streaming-Network-featured-Sony#.VBcA4GIaySM

In other words...the answer to your own question is pure speculation...RIGHT?

Answer: no. They might get some money out of Ultraflix for allowing it on their TVs, but most likely not. Sony's not in the business of handing out money, and it's more likely that NTEK agreed to pay them.

But hey, it doesn't read like it's b.s., so yippee if you gauge this as big news in some sense. Good for them?

I just don't see it as some sort of game-changing big deal."

It plain and simply means ntek isn't disclosing what NTEK IS PAYING SONY TO get a spot on Sony's sub independent iptv menu. No debate at all.
It's exactly what Dangfool states, NO BIG DEAL, except to people reading stock tout web sites.
