mike you're right about rev-a and rev-b...but rev-a is still on beta tests and will be deployed the earliest probably Q2 or Q3 of next year...i am familiar with these rev-a stuff...wi-fi/cellular has a market and it will not affect the push for rev-a/b...the forward/reverse throughput of rev-a plus the extensive qos that it can offer has indeed a great advantage, however, wi-fi/wi-max still has a higher bandwidth and has presence in the areas where cellular is not present and also in some places like shops, grocery, restaurant, homes and commercial airplanes.

the tunnel that was mentioned in that article that you posted is a standard tunnel type (most probably ipsec because of the security that ipsec can offer).
