His point was that no matter the option he pressed, he was sent into a land of nothingness. How can they know he hasn't placed an order if they never pick up?
Having an automated phone system that keeps you in a neverending loop is a scam. Plain and simple.
Indictments are coming.
It will get much worse...but it will never get better.
