Another perspective you guys on this whole deal,
I know some of you are wondering why the delay on this run, especially when the news came out a little while back -
if you understand hydrogen fuel cell technology and its timeline - you will see - that it is just about to break into mainstream - FINALLY -
hydrogen fuel cell technology is not super new technology, it has been out there for a while
the hydrogen fuel cell that VIIC uses, at one time in the past, was really expensive
I'm talking a few short years ago, it was much more expensive
BUT TODAY in 2014 - we have come a very LONG way - and NOW!!!
the technology is coming down in cost and is more reasonable to the point where it will be CHEAPER than regular vehicles
You guys need to UNDERSTAND - the HYDROGEN FUEL CELL TECHNOLOGY companies like VIIC - they HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS TIME - for the cost to be COMPETITIVE with the rest of the INDUSTRY
so YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND - that a short few years ago - the TECHNOLOGY was still TOO EXPENSIVE - but NOW IT IS NOT
the reason why the technology is amazing is because it is an extremely green technology - so even if it was a little more expensive - it is way better for our environment - but still, when something hurts the pocketbook, industrys usually wait on their newly discovered technology until it can be more affordable for MAINSTREAM use . . .
they have used this type of technology in the space program for years, but it was designed in a way where it was really bulky and could not fit into a vehicle housing
In addition, the maintenance on a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is much less, there is less things to break down in the vehicle - so even though the cost to make the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle was more expensive - the MAINTENANCE is WAY LESS than REGULAR CARS
also to make Hyrodgen - used to be more expensive than making GAS - but now today - they have found ways to make HYDROGEN - CHEAPER
they also are very close to being able to use SOLAR to make HYDROGEN - it is VERY CLOSE to being completed - in fact it is already done - it just has to go through final testing
ONCE SOLAR is the primary method to make the HYDROGEN - then GASOLINE will never be able to compete
I think it is fair to say that GASOLINE is not going to be the primary way much longer - of course- it will take years for it to happen -
but the ALTERNATIVE GREENER strategy's are going to WIN
