I wonder if the other company ever considered what delay they would impose on the rest of the companies by filing a for sure, VERY LENGHTHLY LAWSUIT. I get the gist they needed to protect their investors. Did they first contact other companies to maybe have a coalition first and then THREATEN a lawsuit first before moving FORWARD ON THEIR OWN? It would have at least been a gesture of courtesy to the other companies who had been there much longer than themselves. The problem may have had a chance to be resolved rather quickly? NOT NOW!!! But who cares what mess you leave behind or how long it may take when you can just pick up your company and work elsewhere. I wonder if Tracy Bowden can just pick up his company after thirty five years and move it elsewhere. I wonder if he can take his Dominican employees to Florida with him. Just pick up the company and move elsewhere. YEAH, maybe an option for one company but not likely for the rest.
I also wonder why all the hype over a publicly announced international auction, and why anyone in their right mind wouldn’t think that couldn’t have some repercussions on future divisions and contractual percentage splits. Was there a reason for all that hype? Was it necessary? Or was it only for bragging rights? Not a very brilliant move while working in an extremely poor third world nation.
Maybe it was just coincidental that the DR shut down all contractors during the same time period.
