Additive Manufacturing. Tell me if I’m wrong. If this is really what a lot of us think this is we are the luckiest sons of guns perhaps in history. This is huge. Right? I mean Epic. Every part of society will be effected as now the engineers, designers, manufacturers, tinkerers, really smart people will be let out of the box. 3d companies will be sprouting up and established ones will grow and they will be asked to make millions of different products using AM and running Sigma’s Printrite suite of products to maintain quality and keep costs down i.e., be competitive, IMO. I was trying to think back to the other two industrial revolutions and had a hard time coming up with another comparison of such a revolutionary change in not just the way goods are manufactured, but also designed, use of materials, new machinery, so many new possibilities I can’t even imagine… for every part of society. The Water Wheel? Steam Engine? Internal combustion engine? Maybe Ford and Mass Production? Electricity? Transistor? PC/ Internet? AM is going to belong in this list. Oh yes, this is epic.

A Long for the ride.
