"PPJ Enterprise displayed a booth and networked at the 32nd annual American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin Convention held in San Antonio, Texas, in July."

I am confused about why there is a big debate about this conference.

I documented the conference web site back in July in Post #42120:

and I included a reference to it in my UP-TO-DATE DD document:

Farmboynate was the one who originally flagged us regarding finding news of the conference on July 3rd in Post #42113:

It is very clear that the conference booth cost PPJ $5,000. It is unknown if Basu elected to purchase one of the package deals for MUCH more money which included socialization and entertainment events. Given that Basu is of Indian ethnicity, it should not be surprising that she did opt for one of the bigger packages. Given the financial state of PPJ, one can easily suggest that such a package would have been a waste of corporate funds. However, it would be a legitimate tax deduction, and there is some possibility for networking during the social and entertainment events. Attendance of the conference was likely not released in a press release both because of the expense (if a larger package was purchased) and the lack of immediate additional business resulting from attendance.

As I already stated in my post back in July, this was a small, but verifiable, bit of data to suggest an actual attempt to expand the business so I saw it, and still do, as a good thing. In fact, because it is verifiable, I see news of participation in such conferences as much more valuable that a PR reporting news of a contract with an unnamed new client which is totally unverifiable. I hope that someone from PPJ acquires advertising space in many more conferences in the future.
