Well Marty - I am joining you sooner than expected in buying a brand new 2014 Hyundai Accent Sedan. I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw a $ 10, 995 sign - a discount of $ 4,100 from the MSRP of $ 15, 144.
Apparently - this discount was Hyundai's advertised September special - which I was not aware of - in order to draw people to Hyundai's car lots. The negative though is it is a Standard Transmission and not an Automatic and it doesn't have A/C - which I am having installed for an additional $ 2, 500. Plus It does not have power locks - which I like - and power windows - which I don't like.
So the end result is an Accent Sedan L Model with a Standard Transmission and A/C at a discounted MSRP of $ 13, 500 + Taxes and Ext Warranty Costs. The car was so new on the lot that the plastic seat covers were still on and I was the first customer to drive it. Unfortunately - it is still on the lot awaiting the A/C Kit - which is out of stock in Canada and is being shipped from Korea - because I did not want to drive it without an A/C.
