The important part of PB's interview regarding Glassware was when he said the importance of it came with THE STORAGE DEVICES. That is the reason for the OVRL acquisition, they have cutting edge storage devices that can more economically store data right thru enterprise level volumes at the lowest price per gigabyte on the market. ANY/GW needs OVRL, OVRL needs ANY, and that is why all the hush hush prior to the final merger of the two. This merger has to go thru and mgt is taking all the steps possible to keep a low profile so some large company doesn't come in, make some stupid bid that may look great now but look like peanuts in a year or so, and screw up completely or delay the merger.

I believe it is why so many cloud guru's haven't really keyed into just how powerful GW is yet, mgt has been selling it as a niche play but will come out with guns blazing after the merger and take the entire sector by surprise, even to a much larger degree than what they showed on VMWorld.

That is what also makes the VMWorld (Barcelona) show in Oct so riveting. The merger should have gone thru and ANY can show itself in it's true colors, a beautiful butterfly ready to fly instead of a worm tightly wrapped in a cocoon of silence.
