That's complete BS as the management has a legal fiduciary duty to the shareholders of the company.

The "company" owns the "Goose that lays the golden eggs"
It can justify and issue stock at will.

Big news was generated by a well known company not long ago whose management thought that way and are now cooling their heels in the slammer.
