There have been many takeovers done without even a resource calculation.

Virginia Gold taken over by Goldcorp for $420MM in stock ($10.20 per share_

Arequipa Resources taken over by Barrick for $800MM. ($27 per share)

There have been many, many others. Aquiring companies can and will plug in data themselves and try to get a target company earlier (cheaper).

Nb has a program designed to move indicated to inferred and have not missed. What does that tell you? Phase 1 drilling's goal was just that.

Just two that popped into my head.
