I can go look at exxons reports and create a PR stating some un named company with x amount of blah blah blah (matching exxons) will do whatever. then you will go ahead and say, oh it's exxon, see I did a google search. meanwhile, the truth is exxon doesn't even know I exist.

how do we confirm these claims? is it out of the question that it is totally made up? is that possibility beyond questioning?
