you seem to be saying that you find Inquirer reports of strong-arm phone calls to be of the same level of credibility as the various wildly improbable popular myths you list.

I won't speculate on how wildly improbable those beliefs are, I'll leave that to you. I'm just pointing out that the evidence supporting those claims is of the same quality as the accusations against Intel. Therefore it seems that those making such accusations have associated themselves with others who believe they are being telepathically contacted by super beings from Zeta Reticuli. They're both persuaded by the same quality of evidence.
