even if the market for it really takes off -- which IMHO is unrealistic to expect -- it's likely to take years for this company to reach its true potential.

Simplivir is the product that's furthest along in development, and the company hasn't even begun the FDA trial regimen, which is likely to take at least 3 years and will probably take more. And even if the company's anti-bacterial product is fast-tracked by the FDA, it's likely to be at least a couple of years after Phase I trials begin for it to come onto the market. And a lot can happen in the years of trials that could torpedo the company's ssDNA products.

With this said, I believe you would be foolish to consider this as anything other that a very speculative, long-term investment . . . unless you want to try to trade the volatility, which some (not me) seem to be very good at.
