That's nothing new. There are several players in this arena. Arcam has LayerQam, EOS has EOSTATE, etc... These are somewhat limited as they are only optical systems.

Sigma uses technology above and beyond optical to record quality and will soon be able to make real time corrections to potential flaws.

Unless there is information that Renishaw has something beyond optical information gathering...they are not a threat to SGLB as far as I can tell. This could be Renishaw merely catching up with the other leaders in this industry.
