Absolutely agree...not being indifferent or reinventing the wheel or writing another chapter, but, but, but,....always a but with me, HUMM !!! maybe I need to change my handle to da but...

I remember back yrs a go when my oldest son was still a teenager and spoke at church one Sunday 11 O'clock service....in his talk he brought out how many folks come to church, offer prayer, sing hymns, drop something in the plate and listen to the sermon and of course feel good about themselves, then after the service the get in their car to drive home and maybe 2 or 3 blocks from the church another driver cuts them off or does something stupid and BANG!!! The church goer acts accordingly--- Down comes the window, out flies the mighty "BIRD" along with a few choice words, all this within 10 minutes of praising God......My point, when I am around other people, what do they see. Just saying...

Some have a great testimony to offer, others have compassion to offer, some have lost of money to share, some have the ability to offer confidence and some have the gift of just listening...While I totally agree with you, I also believe that we listen to the Holy Spirit and act accordingly. We all have different gifts, the important thing to do is to use those gifts and in using those gifts the opportunity always opens itself in one way or another to share the Gospel....Now, This is just about me, my personal lesson, applies to me and maybe not to others---I have learned that when I take it upon myself to act out, I usually screw things up like you wouldn't believe, but, when directed by the Holy Spirit and I being fearful to step out in action, but I muster up the strength to step out and take the chance....You know what? Stuff comes out of my mouth in a way that I could never execute, a connection is made that I could never make on my own....like I said this is just ME", but the older I get the more I realize just how present the Holy Spirit is in my daily life and how I need to rely upon Him and not "ME"..

IMO-- A Christian with a kind word, a friendly smile, politeness of say, maybe just holding the door for another....example, I love to hold the door for older ladies and offer a greeting something like, "How are you today young lady" or anything with "young lady" in it, 99% of the time it brings a smile to the face and often a comment of some sort or another....always opens the door to say something like God is good----have a blessed day and my favorite when asked how I am....I am 6ft above ground, life is so very good and I am so blessed.....Just saying

I mentioned gifts...that should be gift or gifts. Some of us may have many gifts, some a few gifts and some a gift, no matter, use what we have to further God's purpose. Do not be envious of the gift(s) of others....just use your gift....Let your light so shine that others may see Christ in you....One day you will enter heaven and be met by many folks who you influenced...who your never knew you influenced, now, IMO, this is really putting you gift to work, when you use it and touch another's heart and you never, ever knew you did it....also helps me to stamp out that old enemy of mine...."PRIDE".....GOD BLESS
