Sounds like Paul Ryan - with a new book to sell and a renewed ambition to run for the oval - has become a "socialist"...Ryan said (NPR interview) he was wrong to talk about "makers and takers" and now wants everyone to have a chance to get ahead. Ryan said his conversion came when he was confronted by a vet at a county fair who asked how he could call vets who get benefits and the elderly who get SS "takers". How Ryan will reconcile his born-again "socialism" after running with Mr. 1% in 2012 will be interesting, but he is your consummate politician and the gullible will believe him.
